The Akanesi Mataitonga Trust exists in fond memory of Akanesi (Nesi) Mataitonga — a loving and generous soul, who believed in providing a bright future for children.
Nesi believed in always giving and sharing with others, and helping people in need. Our work is driven by the conviction that all children and young people deserve to be raised and educated in a safe and equitable environment.
Our mission is to advance the social, emotional and educational development of children and young people, and to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people in school and the community.
The trust develops collaborative partnerships and strives to embed long-term sustainable solutions while providing crisis support when needed.
We deliver essential financial and material assistance, principally through education, healthcare and the local community, via fundraising, donations, and collaborative efforts.
